Barça wants to sign Mata

FC Barcelona marked Juan Mata to switch its lights next summer. According to the superdeporte.es Joan Laporta has already started to contact with Manuel Llorente - VCF president. After Hleb's quit to Stuttgart Mata can be quite good transfer. Last summer Barça wanted Mata, but president gave no option. And now they insist again.

Before elections for the president post of Barcelona, Laporta is ready to pay 20 million euros. Pep Guardiola mentioned to see Mata in his team too. However, the player has a contract which expires in June 2012. And Catalonian bosses want to sign him before World Cup, as the price of the player can go up depending on the performance of the Spain national team as well.

In Valencia Mata is one of the most preferred players, and president does not want to get rid off his player number "10". But it does not mean that Barça will throw the towel again.
